Yes, I’m still here.
It’s now four months down the track since my major surgery on 1 August.
The swelling on the left of my face has subsided still further. Like the outgoing tide, it leaves behind it the shipwreck of my titanium plate that juts ever more prominently from my jaw. On Friday, I go to see my oral and maxillofacial surgeon and I hope to know more about plans to remove the plate.
I have fallen off the recovery wagon with my exercises, both for my leg and my jaw. I still see my physio once a week.
Life is good. Busy and content. What more can you ask? I’m now blogging about the wonders of daily life over at life in vignettes. Because life continues on.
